1. Who we are

Downway is a digital engineering company based in São Paulo, Brazil. We are the controller of the personal data described here and process it under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR.

2. Data we collect

• Contact details you type into our forms: name, company, work email, phone or WhatsApp and current website.
• Project information: messages, drawings, 3D models and other files you upload or link to.
• Usage data: pages visited, device type and referral source, collected by Google Analytics only after you accept analytics cookies.

3. Why we use it

• To reply to you and prepare a review or proposal (legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps).
• To deliver the engineering work you hire us for (performance of a contract).
• To understand how the website is used and improve it (consent, for analytics cookies).
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

4. Your files

Drawings, models and documents you send are used only to evaluate and carry out your project. They are not shared with third parties, not used to train AI models and not shown in our portfolio without your written permission. We sign your NDA or ours on request before you send anything.

5. Who processes data for us

Form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms and Netlify Forms; the website is hosted by Netlify; usage statistics are processed by Google Analytics. When you click a WhatsApp button, the conversation happens in WhatsApp under its own terms. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

We operate from Brazil, so data you send from other countries is transferred to and processed in Brazil and by the providers above, which may process data in the United States. We rely on the safeguards those providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

• Access the data we hold about you and get a copy.
• Correct incomplete or outdated data.
• Ask us to delete data, including files you sent.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.
